Brief New York Rangers Jersey History
New York is lucky to have two teams in the NHL but the New York Rangers are the oldest. In fact, this team has been a part of the NHL since 1926 and is one of the oldest teams in there. They won the Stanley Cup in the first season and have won it four times since then. Despite winning five times, the New York Rangers jersey has always been simple.
It has simple colors and a simple logo design. The main colors are blue, white and red. The blue is predominant in the home jersey while the white is predominant for the away one. The shorts are red no matter where the team is playing. The third jersey that was introduced as the alternative one switched the blue for black while still keeping the red shorts.
The logo has also been constant through the whole time of the team’s existence in the NHL. Keeping the same colors used, the New York Rangers opted for a simple, school emblem style logo. The New York Rangers jersey logo features a shield type background, which has changed slightly over the years from a curved side shield to a more square in style one, with New York Rangers written on it; Rangers is written on a diagonal.
